Hello my beloved readers! As I’ve told you in one of my past posts, Stefan and me were hoping for some sunshine this weekend to end up on our bikes riding through Munich. And thank you “weather god”, you’ve also reading my blog – haha. We were really lucky on saturday – the sun came out and we decided to do a little biking tour to the “Starnberger See”. It’s a lake in the area of Munich and it’s about 1,5 hours by bike. Of course it depends on your pace, so some professionals might go for that route in about 45-60 minutes. (Or if you go by car, it’s about half an hour from Munich.)
Anyway I’m off work, so I really don’t want to be in a hurry. So this tour was relaxing. It’s so nice to get out of the city sometimes. When you just hear the birds tweeting and you feel the fresh air – it smells like fresh grass and cut wood everywhere. I really like that sometimes. As much as I love living downtown I’d like to be out in the nature every now and then.
If you guys come to Munich, or even southern Bavaria. Really make sure to come to Lake Starnberg. There are so many things to do, you can rent a boat and go out on the water by yourself or you can even get a ticket for the ferry to jump on. You can go for some lunch or dinner at some restaurants right at the lake and go for a walk in one of the cute little villages around the lake. As Stefan and me explored the are around the Lake by our bikes, we stopped by at a little jetty and enjoyed the sun. Unfortunately it’s been not warm enough to go for a swim but just to sit down, relax and soak up the sun was fine for us as well.
And of course we took some photos to share the nice view over the lake with all of you! Enjoy and have a great Sunday! Xo, Paula
